ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Department of Chemistry was established in the academic year of 2018-19 to deliver high-quality education and research experience at the graduate levels of chemical sciences. We impart sound theoretical and application knowledge for seeking wide job opportunities in private and government sectors. We also encourage students to participate in cross-discipline projects, workshops and courses with other departments and centres of various institutes.

VISION

Department of Chemistry aspires to excel in chemical education, basic & advanced research and persuade social services. We make every effort to develop a chemically literate society through teaching (with classrooms, labs, and research), scholarship and service. We boldly explore and advance new chemical frontiers for students to achieve in this diverse and changing world

MISION
  • We provide rigorous preparation of students whose career paths require expertise in chemistry and instigate a unique knowledge platform that supports an inventive culture

  • Educate future leaders about how chemistry underlies in natural systems and processes as a way to understand science as a human endeavour.

  • Lead in fostering solutions to problems of global significance by collaborating inter-disciplinarily both within and external to Mohamed Sathak College of Arts and Science.
